Senior Java Engineer

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our UniQue Testing team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Work with a skilled team as an experienced key member on analysis, design, and implementation of Enterprise, Java-based solutions for our customers
• Maintain and evolve existing software applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification
• Close cooperation with client teams and follow up business requirements
• Produce and maintain technical and system documentation
• Validate technical feasibility and propose alternative solutions
• Coach and guide young team members

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• University/College degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in the IT field, with at least 4 years in Java-based solutions, etc. (preferably Java 17 or above)
• In-depth knowledge of the Java platform, object-oriented programming, and dependency injection
• Sound experience in SOAP and RESTful web services
• Very good knowledge of design patterns and best practices in software design
• Solid experience with code quality metrics and test coverage
• Strong experience in relational databases (preferably Oracle)
• Solid experience in Java EE Application Servers (i.e., Wildfly)
• Very good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to design and implement solutions with minimal supervision
• Passion for building software and continuous learning
• Ability to cooperate, team-play, and maintain professionalism in all situations
• Εxcellent use of the English language (verbal & written)
• The following will be considered an asset:
• Professional experience in frontend development frameworks, RichFaces and/or PrimeFaces.
• Experience with Documentum
• Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD
• Experience in technical leading
