Senior Network Engineer
Apogee Global RMS is seeking a Senior Network Engineer who brings technical depth, operational discipline, and a builder’s mindset. This role supports mission‑critical environments across public‑sector and enterprise clients, ensuring reliability, security, and performance at scale for their client.
This Network Engineer will design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure while operating with clarity, urgency, and high accountability. This is a high‑impact role with direct visibility to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure
- Manage VPNs, load balancers, wireless networks, and cloud connectivity
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues with precision
- Implement network security best practices and support compliance requirements
- Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives
- Document network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure resilient, scalable network operations
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands‑on experience in network engineering or infrastructure operations
- Strong expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent platforms
- Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex environments with clarity and speed
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP, PCNSE, Network+)
- Experience supporting public‑sector or regulated environments
- Exposure to SD‑WAN, Zero Trust, and network automation
