Senior Oracle APEX Developer

We are looking for a talented Senior Oracle APEX Developer to join our team at Advansys. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and enhancing web applications leveraging Oracle APEX, with a strong understanding of database design, PL/SQL programming, and best practices. You will be responsible for creating scalable and efficient applications that meet business requirements while maintaining high standards of code quality and performance.

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle APEX applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
• Perform database design and SQL tuning to maximize performance.
• Implement security practices to safeguard applications and data.
• Conduct application testing and debugging to ensure quality deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Document development processes and application architecture.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle APEX features, tools, and trends.

Requirements

✅ Core Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of APEX architecture and components.
• Experience in building complex interactive reports, forms, dashboards, and charts.
• Expertise in APEX security (authentication, authorization, session state protection).
• Familiarity with APEX plug-ins and customizations.
• Strong proficiency in writing complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Performance tuning and optimization of PL/SQL code.
• Knowledge of Oracle database concepts (indexes, partitions, constraints).
• Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
• Experience in configuring and deploying ORDS for APEX applications.
• Building RESTful web services using ORDS.
• Integration of ORDS with external systems and APIs.

✅ Front-End Development

• HTML5, CSS3: Ability to create responsive and accessible UI.
• JavaScript & jQuery: Strong skills in DOM manipulation, event handling, and dynamic UI.
• AJAX: Implementing asynchronous calls for better user experience.
• Familiarity with APEX JavaScript APIs and dynamic actions.

• SQL Performance Tuning and query optimization.
• Version Control (Git, SVN).
• Deployment & Migration of APEX applications across environments.
• Integration with third-party systems and APIs.
• Understanding of Web Security Standards (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection prevention).

✅ Preferred Experience

• Working on enterprise-level APEX applications.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for APEX deployments.
