We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our core technical team. The role involves designing, managing, and optimizing complex Oracle environments, with a strong focus on High Availability architectures and Oracle RAC. You will ensure our systems are secure, scalable, high-performing, and continuously available to support business needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain multi-node Oracle RAC environments, ensuring maximum uptime and seamless load balancing.
- Manage Oracle Grid Infrastructure, ASM, and storage components, ensuring optimal configuration and performance.
- Proactively monitor database performance, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing SQL queries and system parameters.
- Ensure data security through rigorous access controls, security policies, and encryption (TDE), maintaining overall data integrity.
- Plan and implement reliable backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions (RMAN, Data Guard), ensuring business continuity.
- Resolve complex database issues in a timely manner, providing 2nd/3rd level support for critical incidents.
- Partner with technical teams to provide guidance on database best practices and support evolving business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA in a senior role, with deep knowledge of versions 12c through 19c.
- Hands-on mastery of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN backup/recovery procedures.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to handle pressure in mission-critical environments.
- Proven expertise in Oracle Engineered Systems (Exadata / Cloud@Customer) will be considered a significant asset.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar advanced certifications.
