About the team:
Our Product Design team is a vibrant ensemble of customer advocates, product designers, and user researchers working together on a global scale. We are dedicated to enhancing connections between pet parents and pet service providers. Our mission extends to developing sophisticated solutions that tackle diverse challenges with the booking experience, cross-platform communication, personalized scheduling, secure payments and building trust and ensuring safety in the marketplace. Our team plays a crucial role in elevating the marketplace experience across web, iOS, and Android platforms, significantly impacting the end-to-end customer journey.
Who we are looking for:
Rover is seeking two talented Sr. Product Designer to join our team in Barcelona. Working in partnership with their cross-functional teams, each designer will work on a crucial part of our experience. Our core Booking flow and our Sitter experience team are expanding and the designers joining will help influence the strategy and deliver engaging and intuitive experience for our whole community of users.
You will apply your keen eye for detail, solid understanding of user-centered design principles and systems thinking to craft compelling user experiences. Utilizing data and leveraging user research, you will rigorously investigate, evaluate, test, and refine theories, designs, and behavioral triggers, ensuring they meet high standards of usability and engagement.
As a senior member of the team, you will serve as a subject-matter expert and advocate for the customer during the exploration, planning, and implementation of user-centered features. You will have ownership over the design process, ensuring that experiences are rooted in trust and feature high-quality visual aesthetics. You will maintain a consistent look and feel across all devices, aligning with strategic design objectives, our design system, and specific product requirements. Through your work you will be mentored and supported by other designers on the team and a UX manager who will help you develop your design skills even further.
You should have extensive experience in product design, with a robust portfolio demonstrating proficiency in creating user-centered design solutions across various platforms. You will need to handle multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. A proven track record of impactful design implementations that drove improvements in user experience and business outcomes is essential.
This is a hybrid position that has the minimum expectation to work out of our Barcelona Office in the Poblenou neighborhood two days per week on Mondays and Thursdays. For this reason, candidates must be based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.
