Senior Python Engineer (NXJ-93)

We’re looking for a Senior Python Engineer to help modernize a data-intensive SaaS platform by transitioning core services from Java (Spring Boot) to Python. You’ll help evolve a data-intensive production system, working with a modern Python backend stack and shaping backend architecture during migration. You’ll build high-performance async FastAPI services, strengthen ETL pipelines, and work with Amazon Ads data at scale. Tech Stack: Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, AWS (SQS, S3), Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI, async)

• Work with ETL pipelines and data-heavy systems

• Participate in Java → Python migration

• Integrate backend services with AWS (SQS, S3)

• Collaborate on system design, performance, and reliability improvements

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Python

• FastAPI (or similar async frameworks) in production

• Solid understanding of async / await

• Experience with PostgreSQL

• Experience working with ETL or data-intensive systems

• Hands-on experience with AWS, especially SQS

• Understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture

• Production experience and ownership mindset

Will be a plus

• Experience with ClickHouse or other analytical databases

• Docker and Kubernetes

• Observability tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, structured logging)

• Experience with Java / Spring Boot

• Background in advertising, analytics, or data platforms
