About the Role:
Do you have a passion for software engineering and solving complex challenges? We’re looking for a motivated, versatile, and curious Software Engineer to join our world-class engineering team. In this role, you’ll leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies to transform the US healthcare industry. You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Implementation, Delivery, Customer Success, and Sales teams to deliver solutions that make a real impact.
Your day to day:
- Develop and implement high-performance cloud solutions that meet US healthcare security standards using platforms like AWS, Azure, and Databricks.
- Build data processing pipelines leveraging AWS/Azure, Airbyte, and Databricks.
- Design and maintain FHIR-based API ecosystems and data stores (Firely, AWS HealthLake).
- Write PySpark, Python, and SQL code to meet client and internal requirements.
- Deploy code using CI/CD frameworks and review peer-authored designs and code.
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
- Optimize performance and cost of data workflows and demonstrate deep knowledge of Airflow, ETL processes, APIs, and data connectors.
- Mentor team members, lead by example, and drive technical excellence.
- Identify technical investment areas and work with stakeholders to prioritize and implement them.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.
- 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
- 3+ years of building or using cloud services in production (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- 2+ years of experience with FHIR standards and databases.
- 2+ years of building ETL data pipelines at scale with Spark/PySpark and Databricks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or other OOP languages.
- A self-starter mindset and passion for staying current with emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
What we would like to see, but is nice to have:
- Experience with advanced CI/CD practices and containerization.
- Familiarity with healthcare data compliance standards (HIPAA, PHI/PII handling).
- Prior experience in US healthcare technology environments.
