This role is for a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE 3) who will take end-to-end ownership of complex product and platform capabilities within a growth-focused engineering team. You will work across frontend and backend systems, leading technical design, building scalable solutions, and operating them reliably in production. The role involves close collaboration with Product, Design, and Data teams to turn ambiguous problem statements into well-defined milestones, ship iterative improvements, and refine solutions based on real-world usage. Beyond execution, this position carries strong technical leadership expectations, including setting engineering standards, mentoring peers, and influencing long-term architecture and roadmap decisions, particularly for AI-powered and distributed systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver complex features and platforms across the full stack, from design through production deployment
• Lead system design for scalable and reliable services, including APIs, workflows, asynchronous processing, and data models
• Build high-quality, performant, and accessible user-facing experiences using modern frontend frameworks
• Drive engineering excellence through design documentation, code reviews, testing strategies, observability, and safe rollouts
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across the stack, participating in operational rotations and improving system resilience
• Establish and continuously improve engineering standards across CI/CD, monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, and reliability practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-team partners to define interfaces, simplify integrations, and build reusable components
• Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and raise the overall engineering bar through hands-on leadership
• Influence architectural decisions and technical roadmaps with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and developer productivity
• Design and integrate AI-powered workflows, ensuring quality, safety, latency optimization, and cost efficiency

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with ownership of production-grade systems
• Strong backend development expertise in languages such as Python or Node.js, supported by solid computer science fundamentals
• Proven full-stack experience using modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript and React or equivalent frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and operate scalable systems, including APIs, databases, caching layers, and message queues
• High engineering rigor with a strong focus on code quality, testing, performance tuning, security, and operational readiness
• Experience working effectively with product, design, and data stakeholders in fast-moving, iterative environments
• Hands-on exposure to distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, containers, and orchestration platforms
• Strong understanding of databases, data modeling, and performance optimization techniques
• Experience integrating AI or LLM-based capabilities into products, including prompt design, evaluation, and safety guardrails
• Familiarity with RAG patterns, vector databases, observability tooling, and responsible AI practices
• Proven ability to lead initiatives, mentor peers, and drive technical direction within a small team or pod
