Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize integrated Linux and storage solutions for high performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex system and storage issues and provide swift resolutions to incidents.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and management processes for Linux systems and storage solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system integration and functionality.
- Monitor system performance and storage utilization to identify and implement improvements.
- Lead initiatives focused on best practices in system security, storage management, and performance enhancement.
- Provide mentorship and training for junior engineers in Linux and storage best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements related to Linux and storage technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications in Linux and Storage administration preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering with a focus on Linux and storage environments.
- In-depth understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL) and storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, cloud storage solutions).
- Proven experience in performance tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting for both systems and storage.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Experience with storage management software and tools, as well as configuration management frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and security standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Enthusiasm for technology, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning.
