Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Vice President of Engineering to lead our global engineering organization, encompassing software development, architecture, platform, and quality assurance. This role is responsible for building and scaling a world-class engineering function that delivers high-quality products on time and on budget, while establishing a strong technical foundation and an exceptional engineering culture.
The SVP of Engineering will be both strategic and hands-on, setting engineering vision and standards while partnering closely with Product, Experience, and Technology leadership to execute our roadmap and long-term platform strategy. This role will also define and lead the company’s AI strategy, ensuring responsible and effective adoption of AI to accelerate product innovation, improve engineering and business productivity, and strengthen our long-term technology platform.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Core Competencies:
15+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience leading large engineering organizationsProven track record of delivering complex software products at scale, on time, on budget, and with high qualityDeep technical background with the ability to engage in architecture, design, and technical decision-makingStrong experience establishing engineering standards, best practices, and scalable development processesDemonstrated success hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing engineering teams including offshoreExperience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environmentsExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Desired Credentials:
Experience modernizing platforms or building large-scale distributed systemsBackground in cloud-native architectures, modern development stacks, and DevOps practices (we’re a Microsoft shop)Experience working closely with product-led organizationsPrior experience as VP or SVP of Engineering or equivalent leadership role
At JSSI, we are committed to rewarding our team members with competitive and comprehensive compensation packages that reflect their contributions and talent.
For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $250,000 to $275,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job-specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience. In addition, your total rewards package may include an annual discretionary bonus plan, incentive or sales bonus plan, or other form of additional compensation, based on your role.
