.About the role
The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for maintaining and iterating on the current website by translating design concepts into functional, user-friendly experiences. The Web developer will ensure responsiveness across devices, integrating features, and optimizing performance, working with designers and backend teams to meet business and user needs. This role requires a blend of advanced front-end development, performance engineering, and content architecture to ensure a seamless and high-performing user experience.
Design and maintain modular, reusable component libraries for responsive web experiences.
Implement and optimize headless CMS architecture with modern design systems.
Ensure optimal site performance through Core Web Vitals optimization and monitoring.
Write clean, scalable, testable code with thorough PR reviews.
Drive organic growth through technical SEO implementation and conversion optimization.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Growth teams within Agile frameworks.
Work partially with other software engineers on larger features.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in web design, software engineering, computer science, or similar field; or equivalent work experience.
5+ years professional web development experience.
Flexibility to work in Eastern/Central time zones.
Technical Architecture & Tools
Expert-level proficiency with Next.js (App Router, ISR, Middleware, edge functions) and TypeScript for building type-safe applications.
Proven experience building scalable, modular component libraries using Tailwind CSS and Plasmic visual builder.
Hands-on experience implementing headless CMS architectures with Sanity CMS for structured content and real-time previews.
Experience with React for larger software projects with a team.
Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure.
Performance & Delivery
Deep experience diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks targeting LCP, CLS, and INP metrics (data driven).
Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines with Vercel and monitoring with Sentry.
Marketing Technology & Data Privacy
Experience implementing Consent Management Platforms (Ketch) ensuring GDPR/CCPA compliance.
Proficiency managing tracking ecosystems using Freshpaint and Google Tag Manager for unified event-based data.
Experience optimizing conversion pixels and tracking scripts (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and GA4) for high fidelity without sacrificing performance.
Growth & SEO
Proven track record implementing technical SEO best practices including Schema.org markup, metadata automation, dynamic sitemaps, and crawl budget optimization in Next.js.
Demonstrated ability to balance marketing script loads with strict Core Web Vitals budgets.
Engineering Mindset & Collaboration
Committed to writing clean, extensible, testable code following SOLID principles.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum frameworks with Product, Design, and Growth teams.
Driven self-starter with ownership mindset to diagnose deep-stack issues and work independently in fast-paced environments.
Flexibility to work in Eastern/Central time zones.
