Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Workday Consultant to take ownership of our client’s Workday ecosystem. Unlike a traditional developer role, this position requires a deep understanding of HR business processes to provide strategic recommendations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle: identifying business needs, designing the solution, and performing the hands-on configuration and testing.
Partner with HR stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
Audit our current configuration and identify where "out-of-the-box" processes are failing and provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders
Execute hands-on configuration across Core HCM functional areas (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, Absence, or Talent).
Review and redesign existing business processes to eliminate bottlenecks and improve the user experience for employees and managers.
Build and maintain advanced Reports and Calculated Fields. Manage data loads via EIBs and troubleshoot integration errors.
Evaluate bi-annual Workday updates to identify new features that provide value to the organization.
Maintain clear documentation for system configurations, process maps, and end-user "how-to" guides.
Proven ability to move seamlessly between strategy discussion and Workday configuration.
5+ years of hands-on experience in Workday HCM. Certification is a plus, but proven project experience is mandatory.
Ability to explain technical limitations or possibilities to non-technical HR partners clearly and persuasively. You must be able to navigate internal politics and build consensus.
Mastery of Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports.
Deep understanding of the Workday data model and how changes in one module impact downstream integrations and payroll.
