💼 Role Overview

We’re looking for an SEO Project Manager with strong account management skills, someone who can own client relationships and delivery for SEO retainers.

This role blends:

  • 40% account management – Lead client communication, manage expectations, and ensure retention through trust and performance.

  • 30% SEO strategy – Translate goals into actionable plans, brief deliverables, and QA content, technical, and off-page work.

  • 30% project coordination – Keep deliverables moving, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain operational efficiency.

You’ll be the connective force between clients and the SEO team, and ensure strategies are executed effectively, communication is clear, and results are measurable.

👩🏻‍💻 Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO account & project management, ideally within agency.

  • Experienced in managing 5-10 active SEO retainers or client accounts end-to-end.

  • Understand how to report and speak to results (traffic, conversions, rankings, ROI).

  • Can prioritize and communicate across creative, dev, and media teams.

  • Confident planning, briefing, and reviewing SEO deliverables (content, technical audits, link building).

  • Comfortable using ClickUp, Asana, Airtable, and Google Sheets for project and workflow management.

  • Have experience working with international remote teams.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for SEO retainer clients, lead weekly/monthly client calls to present updates, results, and upcoming initiatives.

  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive communication and transparency.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client goals are met and expectations are aligned.kl

  • Manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution across all accounts.

  • Identify opportunities to expand client value through strategic upsells, performance improvements, or workflow optimization.

SEO Strategy & Delivery Oversight

  • Collaborate with the Head of SEO and specialists to plan and brief SEO deliverables.

  • Review and QA content, audits, and reports before client delivery.

  • Ensure strategic alignment across all SEO initiatives and client goals.

Project Coordination & Reporting

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional workflows.

  • Track progress, remove bottlenecks, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

  • Escalate issues to SEO leadership when necessary.

  • Support reporting and performance tracking across traffic, conversions, and ROI metrics.
