Services & Commissioning Director
As our Services and Commissioning Director you’ll be responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of building services and commissioning activities across our Hyperscale Data Centre developments.
Here you’ll be working collaboratively with NEXTDC Engineering and Design Centre of Excellence SMEs and sector lead, to achieve economies of scale and speed through standardised long lead, free issue equipment, application of NEXTDC CoE lessons learned, design standards, briefs, process and scopes of services to improve speed, scale, security, sustainability, reliability, business case total cost of ownership and ROIC for hyperscale projects.
In this role you’ll be responsible for the following areas:

- Cost and Value Management
- Quality Control
You’ll oversee the Services & Commissioning Management function, ensuring technical excellence, operational readiness, and alignment with project delivery objectives. As our Director you’ll provide leadership across all project phases—from design and procurement through to commissioning and handover—ensuring that services systems are safe, resilient, and optimised for performance.
Qualifications
Your proven commercial experience will see you bringing:
- 10+ years’ experience in Data Centre or mission critical project or construction management
- Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or trade qualifications in Mechanical Services or Electrical Services installations
- Project Management qualifications/certification/experience in Prince2, PMP or similar
- Experience working for Principal Contractors or client-side construction services management or commissioning agent roles will be highly regarded.
