Shift Lead - Production/Catering
A Catering Shift and Production Shift Lead will work closely with the Production and Catering Manager(s) to help manage back-end production, planning, fulfillment, and quality assurance for all back-end kitchen items. In addition to assisting production related duties the Shift Lead will help production, and lead on-site events. The Shift Lead can work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members. Success in this role includes ability to plan effectively, execute back-end production, help manage inventory, learn how to lead a production shift, and successfully run and lead catering events.
YOU WILL (Responsibilities)• Demonstrate all of Boba Guys’ core values of ‘Giving a Damn, ‘Quality, Radical Candor, Mindfulness, and Resilience, ’
in crafting and producing all backend product items (kitchen items, product dosing, tea blending, etc.)
• Help kitchen production and tea/product dosing which includes preparing product in an operations facility
• Be able to both assist and lead in planning and executing daily operational elements of production.
• Become a resource for problem solving, product planning, product quality.
• Lead the production team to ensure product is being produced efficiently and sustain the highest quality possible.
• Oversee and coordinate back-end catering production, and set-up of catering event
• Assist with on-site events when needed.
• Lead on-site events when the manager is not available.
• Drive and operate catering van (and use personal vehicle when needed)
• Communicate essential information in a clear and timely manner, maintaining confidentiality where appropriate.
• Be able to work at times with minimal supervision, accomplish tasks without direct instruction, and problem solve
for the best solutions.
• Be able to work flexible work schedules/shifts based on demands.
• Be able to meet the physical demands described that allows the employee to successfully perform essential

• Be physically able to work an eight (8) hour day or more on your feet.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Push and Pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license – minimum of Class C (non-Commercial Driver License) license and clean motor
vehicle record.
• Must have or willing to complete ServSafe Certification Ability
YOU ARE (Qualifications)
• A minimum of one year shift lead role in supervisory experience and/or related experience.
• Able to operate with (at least, but not limited to) basic kitchen, excel, and Microsoft word knowledge/proficiency.
• Able to apply food safety best practices or have knowledge in food safety.
• Able to lead and demonstrate willingness to teach/learn.
• Able to effectively communicate and have great interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage your time and have delegation skills.
• Able to effectively problem solve and use sound judgment.
• Able to thrive and perform in a fast-paced start-up environment that consistently demonstrates Boba Guys’ vision, mission and values.
