Saronic Technologies is seeking an Industrial Engineer (IE) to design and validate the physical manufacturing system of the shipyard. This role is responsible for developing building layouts, process flow paths, square footage requirements, and capacity models across all major shipyard functions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop end-to-end shipyard layouts based on throughput, product mix, and block construction strategyDefine building footprints, clear heights, bay sizing, and crane coverageEstablish square footage requirements for panel fabrication, sub-assembly, block assembly, and pre-outfittingDevelop capacity and throughput modelsEnsure layouts support automation-first processesCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar5+ years of experience in industrial facility layout or manufacturing system designStrong understanding of material flow optimization and bottleneck analysis
Preferred Experience
Heavy manufacturing experienceGreenfield facility design exposureExperience in 3D Facility modelingFamiliarity with automation-enabled production systemsExperience working closely with both design teams and shop-floor operations
