We’re looking for an SMB Account Executive (ideally with Shopify/ecommerce experience) to help Rewind reach and support the thousands of growing ecommerce merchants who rely on us to protect their critical data. You’ll run a high-velocity, full-cycle sales process for small to mid-sized Shopify merchants—qualifying inbound interest, running efficient discovery, and closing predictable, scalable revenue.

This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career: a current SMB AE, or a high-performing BDR ready to step into their first closing role. Shopify experience is strongly preferred (agency, app, merchant, or ecosystem).

You’ll work closely with Marketing and Sales Leadership to refine our approach for the SMB segment, test new outbound plays, and ensure every merchant gets a fast, trusted, human experience aligned with Rewind’s values.

What you’ll do

Full-cycle sales ownership

  • Run a consistent, end-to-end sales process from qualification through close.

  • Lead concise discovery to understand each merchant’s storefront, workflows, and risks.

  • Deliver clear, value-driven demos and guide prospects through trials.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene in Salesforce; leverage AI tools to streamline research and follow-ups.

Inbound qualification & high-velocity execution

  • Prioritize and respond to inbound leads from Shopify Marketplace and marketing channels.

  • Drive predictable monthly revenue by managing a steady volume of opportunities.

  • Experiment with messaging, sequences, and offers to improve conversion rates across the funnel.

Light outbound & ecosystem engagement

  • Run targeted outbound to high-potential merchants within defined ICP ranges.

  • Build familiarity with Shopify ecosystem partners and agencies to uncover new opportunities.

  • Share trends, objections, and product gaps with Sales and Product teams to improve our overall motion.

Customer advocacy & collaboration

  • Represent merchant needs internally with clarity and empathy.

  • Partner with Customer Support and Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term value.

  • Participate in team learning rituals, supporting a culture of experimentation and accountability.

What you’ll bring

  • 1+ year of closing experience in SMB SaaS or 1–2 years as a high-performing BDR or SDR ready for an AE role.

  • Understanding of ecommerce fundamentals, app ecosystems, and merchant pain points.

  • Strong discovery and communication skills; you explain value clearly without jargon.

  • A growth mindset: resilient, curious, and comfortable being uncomfortable.

  • Commitment to trustworthy, customer-centric, respectful interactions.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience with Shopify—either selling into the ecosystem, working for a Shopify merchant, or supporting Shopify merchants in an agency/app environment.

  • Experience selling data protection, security, dev tools, or other technical SaaS.

  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms beyond Shopify (BigCommerce, Magento, etc.).

  • Prior quota-carrying ownership in a high-velocity motion.

  • Comfort with running fast experiments across outreach, messaging, or demo structure.

Location and working hours

This role is remote across Canada, with a preference for candidates working in Eastern Time (EST), ideally in Toronto and Ottawa.

Salary range
~ $65,000 - $85,000 (+ variable compensation)

Compensation Philosophy
The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

If your expectations are above this range, it may be because your experience aligns with a more senior level. In some cases, we’re open to hiring at a higher level for the right person and are committed to paying competitively and fairly.

If your experience is closer to an earlier career stage, we may still consider your application. In that case, we would evaluate the role at a different level within our levelling framework, which would correspond to a salary below the range shown.

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at Rewind.
