About the Role
This role is for someone who knows that social media is not just posting, it’s performance. You know what works and why, are able to provide strong creative execution which drives real engagement that stops people from scrolling and demands attention.
You will own the end-to-end social engine: strategy, content, execution, and learning what works. You will be expected to pair strong creative instincts with a clear understanding of engagement, attention, and outcomes.
This is an on-site role based in our Sherwood Park office.
In this role, you will be expected to:
Build and execute BIS’s social media strategy aligned to business and brand goals
Create content that drives engagement: stopping the scroll, gaining clicks, fueling discussion and interaction
Own the content calendar from concept through publishing and iteration
Design content with clear hooks, strong calls to action, and platform-appropriate formats
Produce and manage both static and video content across platforms
Lead day-to-day execution on LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and potentially Instagram/TikTok
Track performance, evaluate what’s working, and refine based on results
Recommend or manage paid social when appropriate, with a focus on effectiveness
Share clear insights and recommendations with the team
Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience teams
You might be the right fit if you:
Have 3+ years of experience managing social media in a professional environment
Have a track record of proven results for high engagement on non-paid posts
Can demonstrate how your work drove real engagement, not just impressions
Understand how to design content that commands attention and is easy to consume
Are able to create graphics using common design software/tools such as Figma, Photoshop, etc.
Know how to balance creativity with performance and iteration
Are confident making recommendations and defending your approach
Can break down complex topics into clear, engaging social content
Think of social as a system, not a stream of one-off posts
Are comfortable using generative AI as part of your workflow
Bonus points if you have:
Experience in B2B, SaaS, or agency environments
A portfolio that includes results, metrics, or performance insights
Hands-on experience with tools like Photoshop, Canva, or Figma
Experience working with contractors or external creative partners
