About The Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to help build and scale the global social presence for Sporty’s platforms focused on live scores, football data and fan insights.
The ambition is not simply to report football scores — it is to become a global football data authority, transforming football statistics, rankings and insights into shareable stories, debates and fan conversations.
In this role, social media is not just a distribution channel. It is a core product growth engine.
You will help turn football data into engaging social-native formats, build a recognizable editorial voice, and develop content that naturally travels across platforms while driving awareness and discovery of the product.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Design, Content and Data teams, helping connect social media with the broader ecosystem.
This role is ideal for someone who understands football culture, internet culture and platform mechanics, and can translate them into scalable social formats.
What You'll Be Doing
Social Strategy & Editorial Direction
Help define and execute the global social media strategy.
Position the platform as a trusted football insights brand by transforming football data into engaging narratives.
Own the social calendar around major football moments including:
Develop repeatable content formats that can scale across platforms and become recognizable series.
Social-Native Football Content
Create and publish content across key platforms including:
Focus on social-native football formats, such as:
Ensure content feels fast, relevant, insightful and highly shareable.
Community & Football Conversations
Build and nurture conversations with football fans across platforms.
Encourage engagement through:
Spot emerging conversations in football culture and translate them into timely content.
Help position the platform as a reference point in football debates online.
Product & Growth Collaboration
Creators, Partnerships & Football Ecosystem
Reporting & Performance
Track and analyse key social media metrics including:
Deliver regular performance insights and recommend content optimisations.
Test formats, hooks and distribution strategies to continuously improve performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with designers, editors, content creators and marketing teams to produce high-quality content quickly.
Collaborate across teams to ensure social media supports both brand storytelling and product growth.
Maintain efficient workflows and clear communication across stakeholders.
