The Spectator is Britain's most influential weekly magazine, reaching over two million people each week through our digital platforms. With nearly 200 years of heritage and a rapidly growing presence on social media, we're at the forefront of political commentary and cultural debate.
We're looking for a Social Media Producer to help drive our digital reach, engage our influential audience, and help The Spectator’s voice cut through today’s crowded digital landscape.
You will be responsible for transforming our editorial and video output into compelling, shareable social media content, and helping to manage our multi-platform publishing schedule on X, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, Facebook, WhatsApp, Threads, Bluesky, Substack, Instagram and more.
You’ll be an advanced user of the Adobe Suite, a fast Premiere editor with an understanding of video formats and platform requirements, and able to write accurate, clean, engaging copy. You’ll be digitally literate, adaptable, and aware of emerging social media trends
You’ll have a passion for politics and a strong awareness of cultural commentary trends on social media, particularly YouTube, as well as a natural editorial instinct to extract clips with viral potential from long-form video content.
