Software Developer

As a Software Developer, your primary responsibilities involve mentoring others, keeping projects on schedule, and helping other developers take designs and ideas and bring them to life. You will see projects through the phases of pre-production and ideation, collaboration with design, building, tests, and validation. Every day will bring new opportunities to simplify and improve the lives of those who use our products.

Every role at Trove is critical to our success. Your specific responsibilities as a part of our team will include:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and other developers to build, release, and maintain software applications
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs, write and maintain automated unit and system-level tests
• Develop and support improvements to operating infrastructure, including security improvements or transitions to elastic/ “cloud”-based infrastructure
• Make project time-to-complete estimates, follow up by tracking project time and tasks in project management software
• Train web and software developers to increase technical ability and critical thinking
• Conduct code reviews for team members
• Communicate cross-functionally to align team and company goals

Qualifications

We seek employees who are adept at contributing their personal expertise to a collaborative work environment. For this role, we’re looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

• Proficient development skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Typescript, with experience in Node JS and React being preferred
• Strong knowledge of OOP best practices
• Experience with Shopify/Liquid a plus
• SQL knowledge and experience (preferred MSSQL)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Experience with GraphQL, APIs, Docker/Rancher all a plus
• Proficient in troubleshooting and code testing
• Experience in both front and back-end development
• Experience with version control (preferably Git)
• Strong communication skills; professionalism
• Experience with Headless architecture and CMS integration
• Quick learner
• 2-5 years of software development experience
