Department Profile
The Technology Client Systems Team is responsible for the development and support of line of business applications that support GMO’s clients and their overall experience with GMO. This team consists of 10 technology professionals whose key functions include application development, system integration, application support, and production support. The supported business areas are Client Services and Sales, Marketing, Shareholder Services and Operations.
Position Overview
The Software Engineer will be a senior individual contributor responsible for the technical design, full stack implementation and maintenance for several systems built on Microsoft .NET in C# and Angular. This individual will also be responsible for contributions on a Python, data-centric architecture redefining how fellow developers and business partners access information within the firm. The candidate will work within an agile project team and will have close interaction with our business stakeholders.

Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 6-8 years of programming experience in C# and the Microsoft stackWorking knowledge of PythonSolid understanding of object-oriented design and architectureProficient in SQL, preferably T-SQL in Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWSStrong understanding of software architecture and the design of distributed systemsStrong grasp of web technologies including at least one prominent JavaScript framework, Angular preferredFamiliarity with distributed enterprise applicationsUnderstanding of Agile practices
Preferred Requirements
