Software Quality Assurance Engineer

SUMMARY

The QA Systems Engineer primarily supports the BA team by thoroughly testing software enhancements as well as training business users on these changes. This role will also gain some experience working with the users to document business requirements so that they are reflected in the applications.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Prepare detailed test scripts for application changes
• Test the application changes, working closely with the development team to resolve any issues Train users in the use of applications
• Liaison with users and development team throughout user acceptance testing
• Meet with users to understand business needs
• Generate detailed requirements documentation that is understandable for both users and the development team

Qualifications

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

• English (Read, Write, Speak)
• Microsoft Office
• Visio
• Layout Programs (Balsamiq)
• Applications used in business
• Troubleshooting based on analysis
• Programming
• Database

STUDIES AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• 2+ years experience working in IT
• Experience with testing automation software is a plus
• ISTQB Certification is a plus
