We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automation testing for complex, high-availability web applications. The ideal candidate will be quality-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced Agile environments alongside cross-functional product and engineering teams.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct manual and automation testing for web applications with high performance and availability requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test suites using Playwright (migrating from Selenium).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects early in the development cycle.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and work closely with stakeholders including Product, DevOps, and Development teams.
  • Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Execute various testing types including regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
  • Support testing activities for applications built on ReactJS (frontend) and Ruby on Rails (backend).
  • Contribute to the testing lifecycle within AWS environments and understand basic AWS operational concepts.
  • Engage with CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives to ensure smooth releases.
  • Assist or participate in load and performance testing to validate system scalability and responsiveness.
  • Ensure newly released features meet high standards of availability, stability, and functional excellence.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).

Technical Skills

  • Playwright Automation
  • Manual Testing methodologies
  • Regression / Smoke / Sanity Testing
  • JIRA or similar bug tracking tools
  • Scrum / Agile development processes
  • CI/CD tools such as Semaphore, Jenkins, or similar
  • Load testing fundamentals
  • Basic understanding of AWS
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent bug identification and root-cause analysis
  • Squish/Qt (optional, nice to have)
