We are seeking an experienced Staff Product Designer who brings together a deep love for design, writing, and communication to help shape a world-class AI-powered communications platform. This role sits within the growth-focused design team and is centered on redefining core user experiences through thoughtful systems design, intelligent monetization flows, and zero-to-one journeys.

As a senior design leader, you will influence product strategy, partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX Research, and Data teams, and act as a trusted thought partner across multiple pods. You will mentor designers, shape roadmaps, and drive initiatives that meaningfully impact user activation, engagement, and long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Experience Design

• Lead the design of high-impact experiences that shape how users communicate and create effectively
• Own projects end-to-end—from early ideation and concept development through execution and refinement
• Design intuitive, elegant, and delightful user experiences with strong attention to UI detail and interaction quality
• Drive zero-to-one product initiatives and evolve core journeys across growth and monetization surfaces

Strategy, Systems & Impact

• Apply systems thinking to design scalable, coherent experiences across products and platforms
• Design with measurable outcomes in mind, driving activation, engagement, retention, and feature adoption
• Create intelligent, contextual flows that balance user value with business goals
• Push the boundaries of what AI-powered writing and communication tools can achieve

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Researchers, Data teams, Writers, and Brand stakeholders
• Advocate for user needs at every stage of the product development lifecycle
• Influence roadmaps and product direction through strong design rationale and storytelling
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level designers, fostering a culture of craft excellence and continuous learning

Qualifications

Required

• Formal education or professional training in UX Design, Product Design, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in product design, including 4+ years in a lead or staff-level role
• Strong passion for writing, communication, and language-driven experiences
• Expertise in interaction design, visual design, and design systems
• Skilled prototyper with the ability to communicate ideas quickly and clearly
• Experience designing for web, desktop, and mobile platforms
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional partners
• Strong command of written and spoken English

Nice to Have

• Fluency in German or Dutch
• Experience designing AI-powered or creativity-focused tools
• Background in growth, monetization, or activation-focused product design
