Tax Accounting Manager

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accounting and tax team.
- Be responsible for all the accounting and tax activities of the company.
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual internal and external audits.
- Oversee local statutory audits and ensure compliance with all local filings.
- Collaborate with advisors (accounting, tax, auditors) to complete statutory, VAT, and income tax declarations.
- Evaluating the company’s financial transactions to ensure they comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.
- Work closely with the organization’s stakeholders and provide financial reports.
- Manage monthly accruals and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
- Support the Finance team in implementing new accounting principles, tools, and internal process automation.
Requirements
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or relevant certification (CPA/CMA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role (preferably within FMCG industry).
- Signatory authority A' class
- Experience in managing invoicing & cashflows as well as exposure to general ledger entries will be preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP accounting programs.
- Up to date knowledge of Greek and International accounting standards.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (highly excel skilled).
- Prior experience with BI Tools will be considered a plus.
- Very good time management skills.
- Hands-on attitude and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Being a team player with strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Greek and English language (verbal and written).
