We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our team in Amsterdam!
As a Technical Product Manager, you will own a key operational domain within the Protolabs Network, focusing on evolving our Manufacturing Partner Platform and optimizing how we allocate the right orders to the right suppliers.
In this role, you will define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for your domain. Your responsibilities will include managing order allocation, tracking our partners’ capabilities, capacity, and performance, and ensuring an efficient and delightful experience for both our manufacturing partners and internal users.

What you’ll do
Own strategy & roadmap for your domain within the platform and make data-driven prioritization decisions with operations, commercial, and network stakeholdersDeeply understand partner segments (capabilities, performance, preferences), customer needs (lead time, quality, cost), and end-to-end workflows from quote to deliveryDiscover, measure, iterate - run problem validation, experiments, and prototypes. Write clear PRDs. Own post-launch metrics like adoption, allocation quality, on-time delivery, and margin impactDrive execution with engineering and design on a predictable cadence. Manage scope, risks, and dependencies; shield the team from low-value distractionsPartner with the business on partner lifecycle (onboarding, performance, engagement) and network-wide tradeoffs across speed, quality, cost, and utilization Partner on engineering health - work with engineering leadership to balance feature delivery with investments in reliability, scalability, and maintainabilityAdvocate for sustainable pace and platform quality
What you’ll bring
5+ years of product management (or closely related) experienceDemonstrated ownership of a product, feature set or domain from discovery through launch and adoptionExperience working day-to-day with software engineers and designers in an agile environment, with a predictable shipping cadence
Product & analytical skills
Comfortable working with funnels, experiments and cost/benefit framing to support decisionsAbility to define clear success metrics and measure product performance against business outcomes and KPIsUser-centric mindset with the ability to balance customer, business and operational considerations
Collaboration & communication
Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAble to create clarity in complex domains and build alignment without direct authorityPragmatic, decisive and impact-oriented: you focus on outcomes over outputs
Nice to have
Experience in digital manufacturing, B2B marketplaces, supply chain or e-commerceFamiliarity with ERP/MES concepts, order orchestration, allocation/routing engines and API-first systemsExperience with analytics and discovery tools (e.g. Looker/Domo/Tableau, SQL, Miro)Exposure to complex operational environments where technology, people and process all need to work together
