Work you will do
The primary role of a Technical Program Manager is to plan, organize and drive Programs/ Initiatives. To do this, a Technical Program Manager must perform the following activities:
- Develop Business Case and chart benefits
- Define Governance model and Reporting framework
- Oversee and guide Solution development
- Guide the team in Estimation
- Develop Program Charter, Program Plan, Stakeholder Management Plan, Communication Plan, RAID log, Change Management Plan and various kinds of Status Reports
- Conduct / Facilitate workshops for gathering required inputs from various client stakeholders
- Review technical documents
- Manage and control Scope, Budget and Schedule to ensure that the initiative is delivered on time within the agreed budget
- Risk and Issue Management, Stakeholder Management, Communication management
- Handle escalations and conflicts within the team
- Monitor and Report progress of transformation across all stages to ensure that deadlines are met and objectives are achieved
- Guide and motivate the team in multi-vendor and multi country environment.
- Define training plans, design content and conduct trainings, as needed
- Benefit Tracking and Management on an ongoing basis
- Manage Financials to ensure Operational excellence
- Ensure all required documentation is prepared and signed off
Requirements
- Total 10 to 15 years’ of work experience of which 4 to 5 years’ have been specifically in managing large Programs or Transformations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engg (or) equivalent course
- MUST have strong understanding and hands on experience in Technology
- MUST have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- MUST have experience in leading a team of PMO executives
- Experience in independently driving programs across all phases (initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure)
- Hands on experience in handling both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience in using JIRA / Confluence / ADO
- Experience working with C-suite
- Experience working with MNC clients
- PMP / PRINCE2 certification preferred
- Should have strong critical-thinking capabilities to solve problems and think about wide-ranging issues and facilitate decisions.
