We are building an AI system for analysts and scientists, based on a fundamentally new approach to reasoning and knowledge representation. We go beyond state-of-the-art LLMs by combining algorithms symbolically, to provide novel capabilities like performing multi-step analysis, displaying a verifiable reasoning path, and assessing uncertainty. We envision applications supporting and automating analysis and research in domains such as Finance, Strategy Consulting, Engineering, Material Sciences, and more.
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to bridge the gap between strategic planning and hands-on development. You will manage our roadmap and refine our engineering processes, ensuring we build sustainable solutions rather than quick fixes. This is a role for someone with software engineering experience who also thrives on coordination; helping a collaborative fast-moving team navigate complex challenges and guiding new ideas from the first spark through to implementation.
Required experience
Proven experience in a collaborative, commercial software engineering environment, working on large codebases and using practices like CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
Experience with functional/typed languages, e.g. Rust, OCaml, Clojure, C++, or Haskell, and a willingness to learn and work with Julia.
A track record of building scalable processes, rather than implementing one-off solutions.
Background in Technical Product Management.
Experience coordinating workflows and coaching or mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
Manage the development roadmap: Own the roadmap from a process perspective, working with leadership as well as individual contributors, to identify interdependencies, and adapt to shifts in priorities and timelines.
Lead quarterly planning: Drive the planning process, initiate and prepare reviews; identify potential goal owners early and provide support and guidance to ensure good planning and risk management across the team.
Steer features from idea to implementation: Coordinate work across multiple topics; when a new feature idea comes up, ensure it progresses from product specification, design, and prioritisation, through to implementation, bridging gaps between different technical and product areas.
Oversee technical documentation and tooling: Take ownership of the processes and documentation used across the company, reviewing frequently and coordinating updates and improvements.
Facilitate communication: Be a responsive point of contact across our channels, connecting team members with the right information and resources.
Stay hands-on: Contribute directly to high-priority development tasks.
Mindset
We've found that our successful team members share some key characteristics, and as we've grown our team, these are the qualities we've learned to seek out. We take pride in our strong, collaborative culture, and these core attributes not only reflect our shared values, but can help you evaluate how well you might fit into our team:
A strong collaborator: You naturally communicate with clarity and purpose, ensuring your ideas and updates are easily understood. You work efficiently, embracing an iterative approach that allows for frequent progress and course correction. Youโre open to direct feedback, adapting quickly and using it to improve both your work, and the performance of those around you.
A builder at heart: Youโre passionate about building things, solving complex problems, and approaching challenges with an entrepreneurial spirit and humility. Your sharp sense of prioritisation gives you a laser focus on delivering results that uplift the entire team, moving us closer to our goal.
Results-driven: You have a strong sense of ownership, seeing tasks through from start to finish, and taking accountability for the results. Youโre proactive and resourceful, with a talent for avoiding overcomplication and anticipating problems in complex, uncertain environments.
Growth mindset: You are intellectually curious, have a critical mind, and seek opportunities to stretch your abilities. You explore the state-of-the-art, you dig deep to truly understand a problem, and question assumptions.

Approaching problems and tasks like a project manager:
You can take a given goal and break it down into smaller parts.
You can solve problems systematically, by yourself as well as collaboratively with others.
You involve others in effective problem-solving sessions because you value getting to the best solution over being right.
You document processes well to ensure others can jump in to collaborate effectively.
