Recruiter – Technical, Data Centre & Specialist Roles (US Market- New York)
Job Overview
A fast-growing UK-based recruitment consultancy is seeking a skilled Recruiter to support expansion across high-demand technical sectors – with a particular focus on data centres, engineering, construction, and operational roles. With a sharp increase in client demand, especially in the North American market, we're building out a new specialist division and require recruitment support to ensure we continue delivering exceptional service.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on sourcing top talent, conducting insightful screening calls, and contributing to market intelligence. You’ll be supporting urgent hiring needs in fast-paced environments and helping the business grow in emerging technical verticals, especially within the data centre sector.
This is not a 360 recruitment role – instead, you'll focus on candidate engagement, talent pipeline management, and supporting broader recruitment strategy through research and insight. The role requires availability in US time zones and is best suited to someone who’s proactive, organised, and ready to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and screen candidates for roles in data centres, engineering, construction, and technical operations.
- Conduct structured screening interviews and shortlist candidates based on role fit.
- Work closely with the senior team to support high-priority and time-sensitive hiring needs.
- Build and manage pipelines of specialist talent across various technical verticals.
- Conduct competitor research and gather market insights to inform recruitment strategies.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and support hiring workflow within internal systems.
- Align working hours to US time zones to ensure timely communication and responsiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in recruitment or candidate sourcing, ideally within data centre, engineering, construction, or other technical sectors.
- Confident conducting screening interviews and assessing candidates against specialist criteria.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple roles and deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative in a remote setting.
- Experience with market mapping, research, or competitive analysis in a recruitment context is a plus.
- Reliable internet, a laptop, and a quiet, professional work environment are essential.
- Must be available to work primarily within US time zones.
