Job Role: Technical Support VA
Compensation range: $1200 - $1500 AUD / Monthly
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: We are looking for a technically inclined and customer focused Technical Support & Virtual Assistant to support our gaming PC customers. This role combines hands on PC troubleshooting with customer communication and general virtual assistant tasks. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth order processing, accurate technical support, and a positive customer experience before and after purchase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify customer identity from orders via email or phone to help prevent fraudulent transactions
- Respond to customer emails related to technical support for gaming PCs
- Troubleshoot common PC issues including no display, no POST, driver issues, Windows problems, BIOS settings, and performance concerns
- Provide clear, step by step technical guidance to customers with varying levels of PC knowledge
- Assist customers with pre purchase and post purchase technical questions related to components and compatibility
- Handle live chat support and occasional phone support when required
- Escalate complex technical issues with clear documentation and context
- Accurately document customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
- Perform general virtual assistant tasks as needed, including contacting customers about stock changes, identifying pricing errors or website bugs for QA/QC, and completing warranty related data entry such as customer details, serial numbers, and products
- Stay up to date with current gaming PC hardware trends including CPUs, GPUs, RAM, and motherboards
- Follow internal support processes, response standards, and documentation guidelines
- Work closely with technical and operations teams to resolve issues efficiently
Requirements
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Aged 20 to 35 years old, male
- Strong personal interest in gaming PCs as a hobby, with hands on experience building or troubleshooting systems
- Previous customer service experience is highly preferred but not required
- Practical technical experience with PC hardware and troubleshooting is more important than a formal customer service background
- Confident and professional communicator via email, live chat, and phone
