SAR High School, a mission-driven, co-educational, modern Orthodox Jewish high school committed to student-centered learning in a challenging and supportive environment, seeks a technology specialist. The technology specialist is a valued member of a supportive, collegial technology team. They are responsible for supporting teacher and student use of technology, and maintaining technology infrastructure throughout the school. The ideal candidate is a hard-working professional, with strong organizational and communication skills and a particular interest in educational technology, systems administration, and effective tech support. This outgoing, team-oriented professional understands the needs of teachers and is committed to the advancement of educational technology in a school environment.
Specific responsibilities include:
“Front line” help desk work fielding support tickets and providing tech. support for students and staffManaging and maintaining devices for student & faculty 1:1 iPad program and faculty 1:1 laptop programSupporting the technology infrastructure throughout the school, including SMART IFP, network equipment, A/V equipment, IP phones, printers, and other equipmentTraining faculty & students on use of school systems and software platformsCollaborating and sharing best practices within the technology department and the school communityPrinter management and maintenanceMaintaining hardware inventoryTech set-up for school eventsAttending and participating in technology department and faculty meetings, and after-school events during the school yearOther duties as assigned by the Director of Technology
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technology work experience, preferably in an educational setting Knowledge of basic networking and systems infrastructure Proficiency with macOS, iOS, Google WorkspaceAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptionsInterest in working with people who have varying levels of technology expertise and interestAbility to clearly communicate between team members, faculty, and students
This 12-month, full-time position in the Technology Department offers a comprehensive benefits package and a salary of $50,000 to $60,000 commensurate with experience. The Technology Specialist reports to the Director of Technology.
