We are looking to hire a hands-on and motivational individual for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Abbotsford, BC who will provide personnel, route, and management support to Daniels drivers to ensure service is executed cost-effectively, efficiently, productively, and to the Daniels standard per our service agreements.
Responsibilities
Liaise between customer, driver, and sales to ensure each service is performed optimally
Be coverage for routes as needed. Overnights and local
Maintain interdepartmental communication between our plant operations, sales, and field operations teams
Work with plant operations to plan and schedule shipments to final disposal sites.
Using Geotab, Lytx, HOS logs and other documents, track and monitor driver activity. Which will include: excessive stop times, excessive idling, excessive speeding, etc.
Work to ensure accurate and efficient creation of manifests
Co-ordinate scheduled vehicle preventative maintenance. Annual inspections of entire fleet and minimize down time of fleet.
Maintain Key Performance Indicators measures. (EG: Spreadsheets) (Note these items to be defined)
Analyze route efficiencies to ensure optimum cost savings. Ex: increase route density reduce km’s driven per route
Be pro-active in assisting with the development of safe work practices
Responsible for ensuring driver compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and principles and rectify any non-conformance or matters of concern regarding Health and Safety and Environmental matters
Ensure minimal errors are made and high quality of customer service delivered
Manage routing through our internal system to maximize space on trucks (Daily Routing)
Work on SalesForce cases and routing updates
Manage route start times, arrival at first customer, warehouse unload and PM times
8AM-430PM (Shift hours vary based on business needs)
Skills and Experience
2+ years of Transportation Support or dispatch experience required
Must have Class 5 license with airbrakes endorsement
Smith Driving Training an asset
Strong attention to detail
You have strong verbal and written customer service communication skills.
Interpersonal skills and relationship building
