Role Overview
As a Transportation Planning Specialist (Middle Mile), you will support middle‑mile transportation planning and execution through daily and monthly planning activities, data analysis, and operational reporting. This role focuses on planning accuracy, flow visibility, and operational insights to help improve efficiency across middle‑mile movements.
You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to support forecasting, capacity alignment, and smooth transportation execution.
What You Will Do

You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to support forecasting, capacity alignment, and smooth transportation execution.
What You Will Do
- Support the execution of middle‑mile transportation planning models in alignment with operational guidelines.
- Perform daily and monthly planning activities for manpower, assets, and transportation flows, partnering with operations teams to ensure timely execution.
- Analyze basic route, driver, and cost data to identify trends and support efficiency improvements at a lane, route, or area level.
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing transportation and workforce planning tools to improve forecasting accuracy and operational responsiveness.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards to support transportation and operational decision‑making.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in planning, operations support, or transportation‑related roles.
- Hands‑on experience in data processing, data analysis, and building basic analytical models.
- Strong attention to detail with a data‑driven mindset.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Advanced Excel, Google Sheets; familiarity with Tableau and SQL and/or Python.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Exposure to logistics, middle‑mile, or transportation operations.
- Basic English verbal communication skills for discussion.
