Connelly School of the Holy Child is seeking a dedicated Upper School Science and Physics Teacher to join our outstanding faculty for the 2025-2026 school year. We welcome candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to each student's uniqueness, where innovation, academic excellence, and a joy for learning take precedence. • Upper School Science Teacher, teaching primarily Physics and additional related science/math course(s), while fostering a challenging and engaging classroom environment. 

• Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program. 

• Collaborate with faculty members to enhance the curriculum and student learning experiences. 

• Maintain an active commitment to professional development and contributions to school community through committees and student life activities. 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field with teaching experience at the secondary level. 

• Teacher preparation program, minor in education, or certification preferred. 

• Strong commitment to inquiry-based learning and laboratory investigations. 

• Knowledge of best practices and strategies to effectively engage students from diverse backgrounds and abilities. 

• Demonstrated ability to cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills among students. 

• Familiarity with Next Generation Science Standards and their application in teaching. 

• Ability to inspire curiosity and a deeper understanding of the physical sciences in students. 

• Commitment to embrace the school’s mission and values, with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning. 

• Willingness to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, parents, and the wider community.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience, and is calculated according to a school-wide pay scale. ($47,600 - $100,611)
