Lead the decision-making and change management processes, facilitating all governance forums (e.g., Change Meetings, Decision Meetings), while ensuring Quality, Cost, Timing, and Performance impacts are assessed against project targets.
Manage component design activities within a cross-functional team, including co-location design processes, and escalate packaging conflicts across core engineering domains.
Organize and oversee vehicle assembly assessments during both the digital phase (Digital Assembly) and physical phase (first vehicle slow build) in collaboration with suppliers.
Take ownership, in coordination with the Vehicle Systems Manager (VSM), of the vehicle’s technical content (Scope Sheet) and associated graphical references, including the Visual BOM.
Monitor and control project industrial complexity, including the number of parts, and track the Core Technical Structure (Carryover, Modified, New components).
Ensure EBOM robustness, including full interchangeability of dual-sourced components, in alignment with packaging, performance, and safety requirements.
Lead the escalation and resolution of component packaging issues from Styling Freeze through Tooling Kick-Off, with support from the packaging team.
Oversee change management activities by evaluating Quality, Cost, Timing, and Performance impacts for all changes in line with project objectives.
Coordinate with core engineering teams to monitor vehicle technical convergence and ensure alignment on packaging, performance, and safety topics with the VSM.
Ensure that all innovation initiatives planned within the project progress according to schedule, and manage escalations when necessary.
Coordinate core engineering functions (Body, Interior, Chassis, Electronics including software, Propulsion) regarding component certification and compliance status, as well as sustainability indicators (e.g., GWP, CNZ, Green Bond tracking).
Lead the resolution of escalations related to Design Standard Time between component design and manufacturing processes.
Manage and track all required part and software updates for pre-SOP vehicles to ensure compliance prior to market release.
Coordinate and escalate cross-functional issues between the main vehicle project and related modules, platform programs, propulsion, and software projects, in alignment with the VSM.
Ensure consideration of international requirements, including constraints related to regional manufacturing locations, while supporting alignment with global functional requirements.
Project planning tools (e.g., Gantt charts, MS Project)
Key Responsibilities
Lead the achievement of all project targets related to Quality, Cost, Timing, and Performance, from pre-contract phase through to handover to mass production (serial life).
Manage and lead cross-functional teams responsible for delivering project objectives, ensuring alignment and accountability.
Drive global alignment among all project stakeholders, balancing competing constraints and enabling effective decision-making.
Communicate project status clearly to stakeholders at all levels, and define action plans to resolve critical issues and risks.
As Program CVE, oversee multiple projects (top-hats) within the program scope, ensuring consistency and coordination.
Ensure optimization of carry-over and commonality strategies across the different top-hat projects within the program.
