About the Company

Some seasons of life call for a vet role that feels calm, consistent and professionally satisfying. At Greencross Nedlands, you will step into a community-focused clinic in a high socio-economic area where pets are truly family, clients value good medicine, and you can take the time to do things properly.

And outside the clinic, Nedlands delivers the kind of Perth lifestyle that is hard to beat. Think morning walks through Kings Park, river views close by, cafés you will actually become a regular at, and beaches within easy reach when you want to reset after a solid day of consults.

About the role
A permanent position with a predictable roster, variety across the week, and strong clinical support.

  • A reliable, consistent roster with a mix of weekday shifts and occasional Saturdays

  • General practice with great scope for dentistry and soft tissue surgery

  • No after-hours work

  • Experienced nurses in clinic, with a Veterinary Director who is present across the roster and available for support when you need it

About the clinic and team
Nedlands is a small animal GP clinic with long-term clients, plenty of young families, and a real sense of community. This is a place where relationships matter, continuity is valued, and you can build trust over time.

Our Veterinary Director is a highly experienced GP vet with strong skills in dentistry and soft tissue surgery. Her style is calm, practical and hands-on, and she enjoys helping other vets feel more confident in theatre and in the dental room.

The clinic is purpose-built and set up so you can work cases up properly.

Clinic set-up and tools

  • Purpose-built radiology suite with IM3 dental unit, diagnostic ultrasound and CR X-ray system

  • Dedicated surgical theatre with electrocautery and suction

  • Multiparameter monitoring (Anitek and Suntech)

  • In-house bloods: CBC, biochemistry and electrolytes

  • Full dental suite: ultrasonic scaler, polisher, high and low speed drill, elevators and extractors

  • Comfortable hospital wards with oxygen therapy and IV fluid support

  • Two consult rooms (cat-focused and dog-focused), spacious reception and treatment area

Life in Nedlands
If you like your week to have good rhythm, this location helps.

  • Close to Kings Park for fresh air, trails and a proper switch-off between shifts

  • Easy access to the Swan River foreshore for walks, runs and weekend hangs

  • A short run to some of Perth’s best beaches when you need saltwater therapy

  • Great cafés, local schools and a family-friendly feel, with the CBD and UWA nearby

  • A clientele that tends to prioritise preventative care and follow-through, which supports better medicine and better outcomes

Who will thrive here
This could be a great fit if you are someone who:

  • Enjoys the relationship side of general practice and likes seeing patients back over time

  • Brings a steady, thoughtful approach to consults and case work-ups

  • Wants to keep building confidence in dentistry and surgery with a supportive leader close by

  • Values a roster that is predictable, with a team you can lean on

What we back you with
Although Nedlands is a smaller clinic, you are backed by the Greencross network, which means your development can keep moving.

  • Hands-on mentoring in surgery and dentistry from your Veterinary Director

  • Structured continuing education, conferences and internal training

  • Paid study leave (pro rata) plus annual leave

  • Heidi AI note support to reduce admin and protect your consult time

  • Team wellbeing support including Mental Health First Aid Officers and 24/7 confidential counselling (Telus Health)
