We are looking for a seasoned technology leader to drive the vision, architecture, and execution of our post-purchase ecosystem across digital and physical channels. As VP – Post-Purchase Technology & Platforms, you will partner closely with the CTO to build a scalable, resilient, and future-ready platform that powers returns, exchanges, service requests, reverse logistics, and operational workflows.
This role sits at the core of customer experience and operational excellence. You will architect a modular, cloud-native environment that integrates seamlessly with enterprise systems such as SAP, warehouse platforms, logistics networks, CRM ecosystems, analytics engines, and in-store POS systems. With a strong emphasis on microservices, serverless computing, and event-driven architecture, you will lead high-impact engineering teams to deliver reliability, visibility, and automation at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Architecture
Co-create and execute the long-term post-purchase technology roadmap with the CTO.
Architect scalable, modular systems supporting returns, replacements, exchanges, warranty services, and reverse logistics.
Design event-driven, API-first platforms that support omnichannel workflows.
Ensure seamless integrations across ERP, WMS, CRM, logistics APIs, analytics tools, and retail POS systems.
Platform Engineering & Scalability
Build cloud-native architectures leveraging microservices and serverless frameworks.
Drive performance optimization, high availability, and system resilience.
Establish strong observability frameworks including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting.
Lead automation initiatives to streamline operational processes and reduce manual dependencies.
Data & Analytics Enablement
Implement robust post-purchase analytics frameworks and KPI dashboards.
Enable data-driven insights across returns trends, service SLAs, and operational bottlenecks.
Partner with analytics teams to integrate reporting platforms and BI systems.
Engineering Excellence & Governance
Define engineering standards for code quality, API governance, documentation, and security.
Establish scalable CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Ensure strong database architecture and performance across transactional and analytical workloads.
Drive architecture reviews and long-term technical sustainability.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Mentor and guide Engineering Managers and Tech Leads across multiple squads.
Build a high-performance engineering culture focused on ownership and accountability.
Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, CX, Supply Chain, and Business stakeholders.
Translate business priorities into measurable technical outcomes.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
Experience
10–13 years of software engineering experience with 3–4+ years in senior leadership roles.
Proven track record of scaling post-purchase, e-commerce, or D2C platforms.
Deep experience integrating with ERP systems such as SAP, warehouse systems, and logistics providers.
Technical Expertise
Strong backend expertise in
Node.js, NestJS, and Python.
Experience building modern frontend integrations using
React.js and GraphQL.
Advanced knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, EKS, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, ECS, ElastiCache) and Kubernetes-based deployments.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, event streaming, and asynchronous processing.
Hands-on experience with DynamoDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.

Experience leading multi-team engineering structures.
Excellent stakeholder communication and decision-making capabilities.
