About the Role
The Athletic is looking for a motivated, savvy reporter to cover women’s basketball on a national scale. This role is suited for someone who aims to be an authoritative voice on the sport and is relentless in the pursuit of breaking news in the WNBA, women’s college basketball and throughout the rest of the sport. The reporter should be a coachable self-starter who understands how to elevate familiar topics in the sport into substantive and compelling articles that differentiate our coverage. This person will also drive engaging and thoughtful discussion as a part of our quickly growing women’s basketball podcast.

Requirements
The annual base salary range for this role is $85,000 - 105,000 USD. The total compensation offered for this position may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location. It may also include non-cash rewards and benefits. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
