Position: Zuora Architect
Location: REMOTE
Requirements
Core Zuora Expertise
- Deep hands-on experience with Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue (RevPro), and Zuora CPQ
- Strong understanding of subscription lifecycle: order-to-cash, renewals, amendments, cancellations, and usage-based billing
- Expertise in pricing models: recurring, tiered, volume, usage, milestone, and hybrid pricing
- Design and implementation of multi-entity, multi-currency, and global tax scenarios
Architecture & Design Skills
- Ability to design scalable Zuora architectures aligned with business growth
- Experience with Zuora data model, product catalogs, rate plans, and charge structures
- Define best practices for performance, data integrity, and governance
- Lead end-to-end Zuora implementations and migrations
Integrations & Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Zuora APIs (REST/SOAP) and event-based integrations
- Integration with CRM (Salesforce), ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle), payment gateways, and tax engines
- Knowledge of middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Dell Boomi, Workato)
- Understanding of webhooks, workflows, and custom extensions
Finance & Compliance Knowledge
- Solid grasp of revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)
- Experience supporting SOX compliance, audit requirements, and financial controls
- Collaboration with Finance teams on billing accuracy, invoicing, and reporting
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Translate business requirements into technical Zuora solutions
- Lead solution design workshops and architecture reviews
- Mentor Zuora developers and configuration analysts
- Act as the technical authority for Zuora across programs
Automation & Reporting
- Design automated billing, invoicing, collections, and revenue workflows
- Advanced reporting using Zuora Reporting, Data Query, and Data Warehouse
- Support analytics and downstream financial reporting needs
Certifications (Preferred)
- Zuora Billing Consultant / Zuora Revenue Consultant
- Salesforce Architect (if CPQ or CRM-heavy environment)
Experience Level
- Typically 7–12+ years in enterprise billing/subscription platforms
- 3–5+ years dedicated Zuora architecture or lead implementation experience
