A Day in the Life
The Accounting Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the health system. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing complex financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and financial reporting requirements. The Accounting Coordinator collaborates with cross-functional teams - including human resources, operational leadership, and external auditors - to provide accurate financial reporting, support audits, and contribute to strategic initiatives. This role also provides mentorship and oversight to accounting staff and actively participates in process improvement efforts to enhance financial systems and reporting capabilities.
What’s Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s degree in Finance with Accounting classes equivalent to Accounting minor
Master’s degree in related field preferred
5 years Internal Munson Healthcare accounting experience OR 7 years experience in a health care or multiple company accounting environment or public accounting firm
CMA, CPA, FHFMA, CHFP preferred
