We’re excited to be partnering with Decimal Data, who are looking to welcome an experienced and driven Accounts Assistant to join their team!
About Decimal Data
Since 2017, Decimal has been delivering real-time cricket scoring and pricing data to some of the world's leading sportsbooks, now covering more matches than any other provider. With several offices across the globe - and a brand new one located on the Isle of Man- they’re rapidly growing with no signs of slowing down.
About the Role
This role offers hands-on involvement across core bookkeeping activities, with exposure to multi-company accounting, intercompany transactions, and month-end processes. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, structure, and being a trusted part of a collaborative finance team.
Reporting directly to the Accounts Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day transactions, and ensuring compliance across the group. Your work will directly support timely reporting, informed decision-making, and the smooth running of the finance function.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping robust financial processes while supporting a growing group of trading companies.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records for three active trading companies, ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely supplier payments and accurate customer invoicing
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and currency transfers
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing management accounts and reports for the Finance Director
• Assist with VAT and other statutory filings, working with external advisors where required
• Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to support operational planning
• Maintain well-organised digital and physical financial records
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and clear explanations
About You
• CAT qualified (or equivalent), working towards a recognised accounting qualification — with potential support for ACCA studies if desired
• Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within multi-company or group environments
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with colleagues and external partners
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
