About the role
We are looking for a talented Assistant Auditor to join our team in Thessaloniki. As an integral part of the audit team you will be at the forefront of ensuring financial accuracy and integrity within organizations. This role involves a dynamic mix of analytical tasks, fieldwork, and collaborative effort. You will engage with various stakeholders, and contribute to the overall financial health and transparency of the organizations you audit.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in a wide range of external audits and assurance engagements, supporting all phases of the audit process from planning through completion.
- Assist in audit planning by reviewing prior-year files, gathering and analyzing financial data, and understanding client operations and risk areas.
- Collaborate with senior auditors and cross-functional teams to obtain, evaluate, and document necessary information.
- Communicate with clients to clarify processes, address requests, and deliver responsive, high-quality service.
- Ensure all work is accurate, compliant with professional standards and regulations, and aligned with the company’s ethical principles.
- Contribute to risk identification, developing practical recommendations, and improving audit methodologies and tools.
- Stay current with auditing practices and regulations, while actively participating in ongoing training and professional development initiatives.

We are looking for a professional who aligns with our values and has the following qualifications and skills:
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Auditing, Business, Risk Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, or Economics) will be considered a strong asset.
- Experience: Previous internship or professional experience in auditing or accounting is desirable and will be considered a plus.
- Tecnhical Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting standards such as Greek GAAP and/or IFRS. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Audit & Project Execution: Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced and results-driven team environment. Adaptability to audit methodologies and documentation standards.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Greek and English (written and verbal).
