Job Summary
Integration: Responsible for Avionics Integration services to include management of integration staff, coordination of certification with engineering and development of customer proposals to ensure acceptable profitability and risk management. Provide technical assistance to all company customers and employees.
Service: Responsible for avionics installation and line services to include management of production staff, coordination of certification with engineering and development of customer proposals to ensure acceptable profitability and risk management. This position has ultimate responsibility for the profitability of the Avionics group and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work with sales team to develop customer proposalsMeet & consult with customers to review work scope and address/resolve any concernsCoordinate with internal and external certification groups to assess certification costs and timingObtain approvals from customer for discrepancies and modificationsMonitor projects daily to ensure that obstacles are addressed and resources are adjusted as necessaryDeliver projects on schedule and on budgetMaintain a positive work environment by facilitating open communication with staff and leadership teamInitiate new or modified procedures to increase the professionalism, efficiency, quality, and productivity of the teamDirect overall work flow within Avionics balancing multiple prioritiesEnsure appropriate cost data collection and billing to work ordersClose work orders within allowed timeline making sure customer is billed per the quote and that all labor and parts are issued to the appropriate squawksManage resource levels to match scheduled workload. Cross utilize team as needed. Communicate directly with customers during and after service visits to ensure rapid resolution of any outstanding issuesRecommend and/or initiate personnel actions such as hiring, training, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. Ensure performance reviews are completed in a timely mannerExplains company policies to team members to ensure understanding and compliancePerforms other duties as directed
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working in corporate aircraft avionics in a repair station environmentMinimum of five (5) years’ experience managing complex aircraft avionics modification and engineering integration servicesMinimum of five (5) years’ experience supervising/mentoring a staff of ten or more Mastery of inspection & install procedures with excellent troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical directivesAbility to provide technical assistance to customers and employeesEducation:
Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business Management, Finance or equivalent work experienceFCC license or an FAA Repairman’s Certificate requiredAirframe or Repairman’s certification preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
