At Epworth Freemasons, we are committed to delivering compassionate, coordinated and evidence‑based care — and we’re seeking an experienced Breast Care Specialist Nurse to join our dedicated team.
As a casual Breast Care Specialist Nurse, you will provide a specialist consultancy service to patients, families and staff under the care of surgical and oncology VMOs at Epworth Freemasons.
The opportunity
This role focuses on the delivery of comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operative breast care, patient education and counselling, and the coordination of care across the treatment continuum. You will support patients’ psychological and physiological adjustment to diagnosis and treatment, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes for each individual.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Clinical and Maternity Services, you will act as a key clinical resource and trusted point of contact for patients and clinicians alike.

As one of Victoria's leading maternity hospitals, Epworth Freemasons specialises in women’s and men’s health services including breast and gynaecological surgery, endoscopy and urology. Epworth Freemasons also offers comprehensive cancer care, and a full range of surgical services, including robotic assisted surgery, orthopaedics and ICU care.
Epworth Freemasons has recently upgraded and expanded its operating theatres and admissions facilities, along with major refurbishments of patient rooms and building infrastructure.
About you
You are a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in surgical and/or oncology nursing, and a genuine commitment to supporting patients through complex and sensitive care journeys.
You bring excellent clinical judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with patients, families, VMOs and multidisciplinary teams. You are organised, empathetic and confident working autonomously within a specialist role.

The annual salary range for full time Clinical Consultant (CCA1 - CCC2) – AUD $116,919 - $132,295 + super + entitlements ,depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time).
