Position Overview
The Business Development Consultant at mazeed is responsible for driving adoption and revenue growth across the company’s SaaS ERP packages, with a primary focus on the GCC market, especially the UAE.
The role targets SMEs and growing businesses, helping founders and finance leaders adopt ERP technology to improve operational efficiency, financial visibility, and compliance readiness. The BDC operates across the middle of the revenue funnel, converting qualified leads into conversion ready opportunities for Business Development Managers and Customer Success teams.
Success is measured by pipeline quality, demo effectiveness, and conversion readiness within the GCC commercial and regulatory context.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Opportunity Qualification
Manage and qualify inbound and outbound leads targeting GCC based businesses, with a strong focus on the UAE
Conduct structured discovery sessions to understand business operations, financial workflows, compliance awareness, decision criteria, and timelines
Qualify opportunities based on SaaS readiness, business maturity, and growth potential
Sales Engagement & ERP Solution Positioning
Present mazeed’s SaaS ERP packages in a consultative, value driven manner tailored to UAE and GCC business practices
Deliver high quality product demonstrations focused on real operational use cases and measurable business outcomes
Position ERP solutions as scalable platforms that support business growth, financial control, and long term efficiency
Market Credibility & Buyer Engagement
Demonstrate a practical understanding of VAT and compliance language to build credibility, without deep accounting execution
Engage confidently with founders, finance managers, and decision makers using relationship based selling rather than scripted pitches
Navigate price sensitivity and articulate value effectively, especially in conversations around ERP adoption and package upgrades
Pipeline Management & CRM Discipline
Own assigned mid funnel opportunities using HubSpot CRM
Maintain accurate, structured records of all prospect interactions, demos, and next steps
Follow up consistently to progress opportunities toward conversion and escalation
Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial offers when required
Collaboration & Handover
Coordinate closely with Business Development Managers for opportunity escalation and deal closure
Work with Customer Success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and expectation alignment
Provide structured handover documentation to maintain deal continuity and momentum
Performance & Market Awareness
Achieve monthly and quarterly targets related to qualified opportunities, pipeline value, and demo outcomes
Track performance metrics and contribute insights to improve funnel efficiency
Stay informed on UAE and GCC market trends related to SaaS adoption, ERP usage, VAT, and regulatory expectations
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
4 to 5 years of experience in SaaS sales, preferably within a technology or ERP environment
Proven experience engaging with customers in the GCC market, UAE experience is a strong advantage
Solid understanding of SaaS sales cycles, ERP value propositions, and consultative selling
Ability to conduct professional product demonstrations and manage mid funnel opportunities
Hands on experience with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot
Fluent in English with strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple opportunities independently with accuracy and structure
Highly goal oriented with a data driven mindset and strong ownership mentality

Quality and conversion readiness of GCC focused pipeline
Demo effectiveness and engagement with UAE based prospects
Opportunity progression and successful handover to BDMs
CRM accuracy and forecasting reliability
