Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary Range: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our women’s health practice in Reston, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be passionate about women’s health, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and have a strong commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, assisting with procedures, and performing tasks such as specimen collection, injections
- Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Administrative Support: Schedule appointments, answer phones, verify insurance, and support front office operations.
- Patient Flow: Manage patient rooming, communicate wait times, and ensure smooth clinic flow.
- Patient Education: Provide instructions on medications, treatment plans, and health conditions as directed.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff to provide seamless, patient-centered care.
- Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards.
- Inventory & Equipment: Monitor, stock, and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma
- Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certificate (from an accredited program)
- Experience: Prior healthcare experience.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Commute: Ability to reliably commute to Reston, VA.
- Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred).
- Minimum of one year of OB/GYN experience.
