AfterQuery is hiring a Chief of Staff to work directly with our founders as we scale to become one of the fastest-growing AI companies of all time. You will be the operational backbone of the company—owning our hiring pipeline, managing day-to-day administration, and ensuring the founding team's time is protected and focused on what matters most.
This is an in-person role. You'll be embedded with the founding team in San Francisco, moving at the speed of the company.
AfterQuery is a research lab investigating the boundaries and capabilities of artificial intelligence through novel datasets and experimentation. Our customers are the foundation model labs—we serve all of the frontier AI labs.

Our founding team brings backgrounds from Jane Street, Meta, Citadel Securities, Google, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Silver Lake, and Palantir.

Executive Assistant Management: Directly manage our EA, ensuring calendars, travel, scheduling, and day-to-day logistics for the founding team are handled seamlessly.
Admin & Office Operations: Own the company's administrative infrastructure: financials (payroll, expense tracking, vendor payments, invoicing), real estate and lease management, office setup, and any other operational foundations that keep the business running smoothly.
Operations & Sales Support: Step in wherever the founding team needs support, whether that's prepping materials for customer calls, tracking deal progress, drafting contracts, or solving cross-functional bottlenecks as they arise.
Founder Support & Strategic Execution: Serve as the right hand to the founding team across whatever the company needs most. This includes managing calendars, running executive meetings, driving decision-making, owning high-priority cross-functional projects, drafting internal memos and external communications, building and refining company operating cadences, monitoring core business metrics, identifying and eliminating operational bottlenecks, and acting as organizational glue as the team scales.
