At Emidat, we are building the first climate-native product management system for building material manufacturers. We aim to decarbonise building materials, making up 11% of global GHG emissions. We collect data from physical production processes, generate a digital product passport with verified environmental data and make it usable along the value chain. In short: One solution to assess, design, buy, sell and manage products — with environmental impact at the core.
With this, we are building the digital infrastructure to make it faster, easier, and more sustainable to build the world around us.

Keep the engine running, push the founders to get the essentials done and free them up to do what only they can do.
As our Chief of Staff, you own the operational backbone of Emidat. You make sure the company works - finances are clean and have predictive power, legal is handled, operations run smoothly and nothing falls through the cracks. You manage our external partners (tax advisors, legal council) and when something important is stuck, you're the one who follows up relentlessly until it's done.
Beyond that, you are the person we throw our hardest cross-functional problems at: you build things from scratch, create structure where there is none and hand over to the right people once it runs.
This role is about getting things done – reliably, independently and with an exceptional attention to detail. You'll touch finance, legal and operations every single week and you'll own high-impact special projects that shape how Emidat scales.
Own invoicing, contracts and payments with customers. Push back on unfavourable customer terms - decide what we can agree to based on our financial model.
Manage accounting operations and be the main point of contact for our tax advisors.
Build and maintain financial planning, dashboards, investor reporting and relations.
Handle all non-employee legal matters (customer contracts, supplier agreements etc.) and be the point of contact to our external legal council.
Support fundraising efforts: package up metrics, prepare materials and help shape the strategy
Make sure the day-to-day runs smoothly: from office and team events to the hundred small things that keep a fast-growing team productive, including leading a team of Founders Associate Interns / Working Students.
Own IT infrastructure topics together with the CTO: maintain our IT security management system and handle IT questionnaires from customers and partners.
Be the glue between Sales, Customer Success, LCA and Product. Jump in wherever the biggest bottleneck is right now.
Build and set up things from scratch that don't have clear ownership yet: a new process, a new tool, a new playbook. Get it running, then hand it over.
Design and implement automation workflows that remove manual work across teams
Language: Fluent in German (C2 / Native). Working business proficiency in English (C1-C2).
Extreme Detail-Orientation: Demonstrated ability to be in the weeds of the details to ensure success and accuracy. You have experience catching what others miss, making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Project Execution and Ownership: A proven track record of owning and executing projects from A to Z in a high-ownership, self-managed position, ideally in a previous Chief-of-staff type role.
Analytical & Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience building dashboards, financial models, or introducing data-driven decision making, and/or experience implementing AI-driven tools or productivity systems that automated workflows and measurably reduced manual work.
Finance & Legal Comfort: Experience owning financial or legal topics - whether that's financial modelling, invoicing, reporting, or managing contracts and external advisors. You don't need to be a CFO, but you should be comfortable owning one or both these areas end-to-end.”
Academic Background: Master's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
High-Growth Experience: Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or equivalent high-performance environment (e.g. Consulting, PE, IB, VC).
