Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel Valley (PPPSGV) has been proudly serving our community since 1933 and is one of the original Planned Parenthood affiliates in the nation.
We provide reproductive health care, health education and advocacy from our five health centers in Alhambra, Baldwin Park, Glendora, Highland Park, and Pasadena, in addition to our telehealth clinic. We strive to ensure the sexual and reproductive health services we provide align with the needs of the communities we serve. Our service area extends from Glendora to Glendale and from the San Gabriel mountains to the San Bernardino freeway, home to 24 communities and a diverse population of 1.4 million people.
Today, PPPSGV sees over 60,000 patient visits per year and delivers over 15,000 opportunities for sex and relationship education in our schools and colleges.
We offer safe and legal abortions. We are committed to providing accurate, non-judgmental care and resources by helping our patients overcome financial, transportation, and other barriers to care. In addition, we work with abortion funds and practical support network to support our patients. Our abortion care has increased every year since 2018 with an average of 3,500 abortions per year. We saw close to 4,000 abortion patients in 2022 alone, approximately 59 were out-of-state patients.
To provide quality reproductive healthcare services including exams, diagnosis, treatment, education, and counseling for clients in accordance with PPPSGV protocols at various health center sites as directed. To serve as a medical resource for other licensed and non-licensed staff.

As a Clinician Float, you will:
Travel throughout five health centers: Alhambra, Baldwin Park, Glendora, Highland Park, and Pasadena with possible last-minute requests to change schedule per agency needsComply at all times with PPPSGV Medical ProtocolsParticipate in health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity and quality metricsAdhere to affiliate policies on professionalism, wait time in-center and on the phone, and the system for addressing client complaintsParticipate in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established revenue cycle goalsEnsure compliance with established Agency quality and productivity metrics including visits per hour and RVUs per hour Act as a medical resource and clinical leader in the center Assess, diagnose, and treat clients’ reproductive health issues through a lens of reproductive and racial justice, and via a trauma-informed approachReproductive health visits include but are not limited to: vaginal and urinary tract infections, STI’s (including HIV), breast concerns, contraception and associated side effects, management of early pregnancy complications, common and less common reproductive health concerns for both AMAB and AFAB patients, initial evaluation of infertility, pelvic floor disorders and sexual dysfunction, preconception and post-abortion careComprehensive family planning care, including any indicated examinations of family planning clients Provide medication abortion services, including dating ultrasound independently, after completion of required proctoringPerform genital examinations, screen and treat STIs in all genders.Counsel, examine and treat mid-life/menopausal clients Prescribe all FDA approved birth control methods including emergency contraception and LARC placement/removal, after required proctoring completedDispense medications and label drugs as requiredProvide gender-affirming hormone therapy after required proctoring completedCounsel and educate clients on all reproductive health issues, services, and programs offered by the AgencyWork directly on Electronic Medical Record system for accurate patient care, becoming proficient Prepare incident reports through agency reporting system to support QA workProvide orientation and training to new licensed staffProvide input to agenda items for staff meetingsParticipate in pilot projects as requestedFollow up on abnormal lab results and outside referrals in compliance with medical protocols and in concert with Care Team staffSupport risk and quality management by proactively communicating identified risks to supervisor in order to minimize risk when possible Comply with PPPSGVs Code of Conduct and maintain the highest level of professional and ethical standards and to act in compliance with both the letter and spirit of all applicable laws and regulationsAct as a resource and consultant for nursing and clinic staff as needed As a mandated reporter, proactively communicate and identify risks to supervisor or appropriate agency in order to minimize risk when possibleOther duties and responsibilities as assigned
We are looking for the following:
